What I learned at Job Fair

Hi, The Best Version Of You!

By experience we find out a short way by a long wandering.

As you may know or may not know, I became a LO in ITB career days. The main reason behind that is because I wanted to gain some experiences, in addition to get some money. By joining this event, I learned a lot. Here you are
  • You know the saying, something like a shining GPA doesn't guarantee success, well if it's true, then even more for a low GPA. We know that we have a lot of rivals competing for every job opening. For that reason, recruiters use GPA in initial screening decision. Huft, we really need to study hard, GPA does matter. If you could choose between 2 talented people, one with high GPA and another with low GPA to be your employee, which one would you choose?
  • Well, besides GPA, there are other important things you should have to get a job -since employers think that good grade alone is not a good predictor of on-the-job performance- such as relevant professional experience, communication skill, team work and so on, you can get those by joining a student organization, volunteering, or part-time job.
  • Working is tiring no matter what you do. A doctor, a teacher, a president, a servant or even a LO feels that energy is sucked out of their body after working too much.
  • The most vacancy is for IT, well e-commerce is the fastest growing industry.
  • You need improve your english and learn a new language.

Well, those are all what I remember, hope it help you to succeed in your job search. Happy hunting! I know I still have about 8 months to finish my study, but I've started worrying about my future after seeing lots of people battle to get a few of positions. Wish me luck!
