Have you ever visited Bali? Bali is very popular destination in Indonesia to visit and well-known for beautiful beaches, sacred of temples, cultural tourism and a lot of souvenir. One of the souvenirs people usually buy is Balinese Pie! You can find this milky pie with a variety of brands and various flavors. Well, the taste of Balinese Pie is no less delicious than pies from aboard. The crust is tasty and crunchy. The filling is sweet, ofc delicious. Lucky you, I'll share you the recipe. Hope it's easy for you to follow. Here we go, the recipe for original flavor




Crust:
  • 250 grams of wheat flour
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • salt to taste
Filling

  • 1 tin of sweetened condensed milk (400 g)
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 eggs
  • 400 ml water
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
  • salt to taste

  1. Prepare the crust beforehand, mix all the ingredients of crust, stir until a dough forms.
  2. Prepare pie molds, apply them with margarine, let the dough settle in the bottom and edges of the molds. (Are you with me so far?)
  3. For the filling, combine sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, cornstarch. Stir until smooth. Add eggs one by one while stirring and add water.
  4. Pour the filling into the molds that have been coated with the crust.
  5. Place them in the oven and bake with a temperature of 150 degrees Celcius for 60 minutes
